Is it just me, or is the PS2 a disappointment? Not a major one, just that I - being a Sony fanboy - have been left with a feeling of... Annoyance. Everyone goes off about how the PS2 was the most overhyped thing ever in the history of the universe, and though that is fairly true I still get the urge to defend my new lovechild. But I can't. I bought my PS2 from Special Reserve and it arrived on the launch day so shortages were no problem to me, it's the games that p*** me off the most - Timesplitters is poor in 1-player mode, ISS is pathetic, FIFA 2001 is... well... FIFA... and Tekken Tag is just Tekken but a lot prettier. It's been said a million times (it's been said a million times that it's been said a million times!) but I am going to defend the little black box - frankly, I CANNOT WAIT for the future generation of games. But, again, a problem is that I do have to wait. Damn, I can't win. This really doesn't make much sense, does it? I'm tired. I'm going to bed. I don't like the PS2 right now and it barely ever gets used apart from 4-player timesplitters, but when the future generation of games rolls around I am going to be one happy chappy! Thus this being posted in the future of videogames section. If you haven't bought a PS2 yet, I suggest you wait until later this year. Why not buy a (newly reduced) Dreamcast for cheap, then buy a PS2 later. Just as long as you buy a PS2. Who am I talking to? What am I doing? Will I win a game for writing this? I doubt it! Night.

Someone else went on about Defence is a bias, it was a good post actually, but it just goes to show that it is under-neath it all, although you have said that the PS2 isn't brilliant, you still want people to buy on eventually because you have or because you want Sony to do well....I don't blame you, I'd be the same way about Nintendo but hey!
