"The Teachings of Don Juan - A Yaqui Way of Knowledge" by Carlos Casteneda.

Simply a fine book. Almost like a new age hippy book without all the pathetic tree hugging gestures. A book that makes you examine you inner soul. It is, quite simply, a remarkable book.
Casteneda created a fictional character who goes into the desert to find an ancient Indian skilled in the lore of his people and meeting their "ancient spirits". He consumes mescalito and a variety of other hallucinagenic drugs that forces him to exist beyond the boundaries of mortal thew and bone.

Read it.

What is it that people like about that book?

I read it to the end to try and find a point, but there wasn't one. 'ooh! Man kills people! Porn style sex! Man kills people....'

Finished reading American Psycho - that is without doubt the sickest s**t I've read in quite a while. Recommended reading though .... :D

Now I'm reading 'The Face' by Dean Koontz. Dean Koontz is similar to stephen king, although the way he writes is far more detailed, more 'poetic'. Sort of like a thinking mans stephen king I suppose. Anyway, it's scary as hell so far. the last I read of his was pretty damn worrying, this is shaping up to be even worse. Recommended.

I'm not really into that sort of thing. I have visited Buddist sites, and they are complicated, but from time to time I might meditate.
