Was there on Sunday.

12 hours (11am to 11pm), and only 5 different groups. I was expecting more. The ticket said "Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and others". The only others were Queens Of The Stone Age, PJ Harvey and Electric Six. Mostly not my music, but I enjoyed myself.

I was in the front pit, so rather than having 40,000+ people squashing and battering me (they were all stuck behind the barrier), I had only a couple of hundred surrounding me right in front of the stage. Lucky stuff.

Foo Fighters were great - All My Life was especially brilliant. The Chilis were good, but they played at least 15 songs. Were on for at least two hours. They went off after about 12 songs, came back on and played three more, went off, came back on and played two more. And that was it.

Overall, it was good. Enjoyable considering the bands aren't my real favourites. All My Life (Foos), By The Way (Chilis) and No One Knows (QotSA) were the three best songs.

I'm burnt too. Bloody sun.

Yah. That is all.

They did.

But loads of people were selling them outside the doors.

Some for £20-ish. People that couldn't flog them on eBay in time and stuff.

The title reminded me of this annual 'event' in a town just over a mile away from me called "Gig 'n the Bann". Suffice to say, the acts aren't quite as high profile as that.

Chilis are overrated I think. Foo Fighters are great live aren't they? Saw them at the SECC. Was squashed up at the front, against the barrier in the absolute centre. Was great...
