Radio 1 won't play GoodShirt. Radio 1 is now a disgrace and doesn't appear to listen to anyone, which is why less and less listen to them. Felt like taking a dig at them.

Your first post, if I'm not mistaken.
I must have come across pretty unprofessional so far. I'll admit I have no experience in the music industry, but my colleagues do and most of the big labels are familiar with us. I'm more involved in the press/radio/tv side. You should see Barking Spiders and/or GoodShirt in NME, The Wire etc. in the next couple of weeks as the press response has been pretty positive. MTV love the GoodShirt videos and both XFM and Radio 1 are keen on the music.
Sorry if it comes across like I'm now trying to prove a point - didn't mean to go on like this - I know what they say about those that feel they have to defend themselves - they're guilty somewhere down the line!

I know, and I bet very few of them ever really 'made it'.
Not exactly the lyrical geniuses of our time, are they?
I listened to the songs on the audio section of
http://www.goodshirt.co.nz
I couldn't be bothered waiting for MP3s to download on 56k so streaming was a better option.
Mwahahahaaaa. ;)
I tried your website and it was well enough designed. GoodShirt were OK, although not to my taste.
It is good to see someone try something new. Piracy on Kazaa isn't the root of problems faced by the record industry and it's hight time they knew it. It's because people don't want to listen to soul-less drone like dance and pop. Don't get me started on rap and hip hop...
Not to mention the fact that all the big bands have recently disappointed.
People DO use downloading to discover new bands. How else would I have ever heard of Joe Stump?
But don't get disheartened, keep trying. You might also want to try pushing your site towards some of the big record companies. The internet suits small artists perfectly. Low distribution and publicity costs.
