Could anyone at SR answer my question (because I'm nosey).

I just received Waayne Gretsky Hockey'98 (and it's great) and I was just wondering from where you managed to get your recent stock of N64 games from.

I'm only asking because the instruction manual was in Italian (I think). Not that it matters at such a cheap price, I'm just curious.

Hi Helen,
Don't worry about missing the first night, the lessons will be on a buy them as you need them and move around the level tables when you are ready, so it will never matter if you miss 1 week or 1 month.
Look forward to seeing you on the 14th
Regards
Sue

Hello
My name is Helen and I love taking photos on our new Nikon D40. I have had some fab results but more by luck than skill I think. Would love to join in your group to learn more.
Unfortunately can't attend first session on 7th. Will it be ok to come along the following week?
Look forward to hearing and meeting you.

Helen

Hi Alan
It will be great to have you come on board for the club, the 1st night is going to be quite busy, but we will soon get everyone into groups which meets their level and then set out to move forward from there.
We will be offering days out to gain more experience and tackling problems on Tuesdays too.
Look forward to meeting you on the 7th
Sue
ps I'm glad we do have some different names coming in.

Hi,

My name is not Chris! I'm Alan and i am a keen amateur, having completed some courses at the Plymouth College of Art & Design and a City & Guilds, moons ago. I have also attended some wedding photography workshops (another one this weekend in Weymouth) and i have photographed one wedding.
With the world gone digital, i struggle with digital work flow and quite frankly, would like to spend as little time as possible struggling with Elements 5 also.
I like composing the shot and hopefully most of the time it is good enough not to have to correct it afterwards, but i still struggle with indoor shots when you can't (or not allowed to) use flash.
I endeavour to use 'manual' mode wherever possible, but need more experience/advise, that's why i will be attending from 7th July also for what sounds to be a good evening.
My ultimate aim is to photograph a few weddings per year and i would also like to learn about studio photography, so i might be up for hiring your kit and having a go!

Bye for now,

Alan

hello

i was just talking to some friends about finding a photography club in Plymouth, and your article appears in the Plymouth magazine. What perfect timing. i am very much an amateur photographer with some experience digital photography and photoshop elements 5. it would be good to learn exactly what i can do with my camera, rather tham just using the same few programmes and autofocus.

Looking forward to meeting others on the 7th July

Hi Chris
Glad you have found one of the major benefits of digital photography we are looking forward to meeting you.
My husband is Chris too, so as I have a habit of calling out his name when I need help with something, it could get a little confusing.

Hello

I've just seen your piece in the Plymouth magazine. I've just started photography again after along break, bought my first D-SLR - bit different from film SLR's - such a luxury to be able to try out so many shots.

Hope to see you on the 7th, if not I'll be along sometime in July.

Hi Chris
I hope you and I will not be the only one's in this forum too, but I think when we have opened and questions need an answer before the following meeting, the forum will be very useful.
Sorry to hear about your job.
Look forward to meeting you on the 7th July.

We are getting nearer our date of opening and we are really looking forward to getting going.
My phone has been ringing with lots of people making enquiries about the club, so hopefully, we will have a good turnout.
Don't forget to bring your cameras and instruction books, we are going to get stuck in straight away.
Don't be put off by the large numbers on the counter, this is the world wide web, and not all the hits on the pages will be from Plymouth.
We are putting together a list of dates at the moment for the Club, which includes training days and evenings. I will be putting them on an events page as soon as we have finalised it.
See you soon.

Hi,

My name is Chris and I have been interested in photography since I gave up art at school and did a CSE in photography in 1 year instead of the 2. I then went on to do an A-Level in photography. (Many years ago)

I found the club when searching for studio hire in Plymouth. I was made redundant on 29th May and while I want to go pro I think it will have to be part time at the moment.

Looking forward to the meeting on the 7th and hope I wont be the only one there like on this forum.

See you soon.

Chris
