Quick few questions, don't want to put this semi-spam in the PS2 forum so here will do nicely.

What's the Christmas lineup like, will this new Rockstar Manhunt game be out ?

Will FF-X2 be out ?

Whats the game Edge is raving about, some kind of FPS ?

Is £170 for a console, Tomb Riader, Eyetoy, extra pad and dvd remote good ?

Shows how much you have read about Raw 2 doesn't it? They have gutted the original engine and started with a new and more responsive one. I have read and watched everything released on Raw 2 so far and it will be without a doubt the pick of wrestling games for a long time to come. Full story mode, custom soundtracks, new game engine, sharper audio, improved create a wrestler mode, every match imagineable including Inferno matches. The game is going to include everything that should have appeared in Raw. Just wait for the reviews and you will see...

Have you read anything about Ninja Gaiden at all? You do know that the current build has been muttered as the finest game so far this year? Again, just wait for reviews once again as you obviously haven't read anything about it if you are saying its hardly a big title. Counter Strike XB will include Condition Zero as well as Xbox exclusive maps and refined textures over the original Counter Strike on the PC. Its not just a port of an old PC game.

I aren't starting on Swat, Otogi and Crimson Skies because no matter what I say you will continue with your "hardly big games are they?" comments. All I can say is wait until they are released as reviews and playing the games will suggest otherwise.

Blame SR's release dates then. Blech. They have FFX-2 down for 2003 too.

Yes because nobody plays any early or pre-release builds of any games...the internet allows you to see what previews of *gasp* NTSC games are, let alone PAL previews. And all signs point to the shocking conclusion that 'game running on dated Resi basis with dinosaurs in space = lame'.

Slow engine? Try horrible game to play. The new RAW is prettier, and has a proper story mode yes, but the other two new games will be more fun to play, just like last years' iterations. Rich to say I'm ill-informed where your enlightening facts are just 'it looks set to be good'.

"only BIG GAME worth shouting about." Swat, Otogi, Crimson Skies and Ninja Gaiden are hardly big games. Counter Strike is a port of a game several years old anyway. Ninja Gaiden can't hardly be a possible GOTY when it's recieved around zero (0) coverage in games magazines.

Xbox's Christmas is extensive, but not actually very impressive. When Halo 2 and Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 roll around I'll get interested.

Apparently it did cause a slight rise in Xbox console sales on release 'cause MS bundled it with the console.

Ahhh right, cheers for the info. I too willl wait for a PAL release as it would have been almost impossible (unless they speak Japanese) to know and understand the story. Not a great disappointment if it does turn out to be a flop as the Resident Evil series keeps me happy on the GameCube.

Ali, Games TM got hold of a Japanese copy, they slated it for a poor camera - apparently the player often has touble seeing what he'she is doing, and the repetitive nature of the graphics, and the difficulty of the boss's, however in the same review they say it is not worth importing as the Japanese language makes it impossible to progress past the first section of the game, raising the question - how did Games TM review the whole game in the first place ?

I'll reserve judgement until I see a PAL review, or US one at least.

Operation Flashpoint is due out on the 26th September according to the publishers and all of the stores in my local town.

Also I would be interested to know where you found out that Dino Crisis 3 has been trashed by the critics seeing as though it hasn't been released yet...

As for RAW... The first lacked game modes and a slow engine but you clearly haven't been following the second RAW which looks set to be by far the best out of all 3 wrestling games released this year.

I like how you left out Swat, Ninja Gaiden Counter Strike XB, Otogi, and Crimsons Skies though. Nice bit of editing from you there considering that Ninja Gaiden has been haield as a strong game of the year competitor and Crimson Skies the finest air combat game to date.

Me thinks you should do some research before you start guessing about products you clearly don't know about.

Nah, Fire Warrior is based on a Games Workshop game.

FFX-2 out NTSC in November (apparently).
Translation and all - PAL release next May-March time I'll guess.

The FPS could be Fire Warrior. I'd never heard of it 'til I saw the review in a mag - got into the 90s (% wise)

Never really liked GT3 to be honest, found it overhyped but pretty, favourite racing games (for me) so far is Sega GT2002, and Burnout 2 if oyu count it as racing. Rented Project Gotham today so I may buy it if I like it. GT4 does not excite me on bit, KOTOR does though. Roll on September 12th !

Ooh, and add Amplitude, Jak 2, Ratchet and Clank 2 and FFX-2 (as mentioned before) to the PS2 list.
