Yea those CD key stuff is annoying but when you do it make sure YOU BACK UP YOUR .exe file otherwise if a patch comes out you can't unistall it or patch it!

ok, for patches that let you play games without the CD, say in case you have installed the game and have broken the CD or something. Or maybe you installed the game and broke the CD drive. Or you lost the manual for the game you BOUGHT meaning that you don't have the code, there is a handy site :
