Doing some work and need to email a copy of it to someone.
Only trouble is I got XP, and it doesn't have Microsoft Word on - has something called Microsoft Works Word Processor.
Anyone know what format I should save the works doc in so it's viewable by someone with Word?

.txt is a silly option, the formatting goes to pot and doesn't read well.

Ta.
That's quite enough computer stuff for the weekend.
Time to go read The Sunday Times, then play Vietcong.

Had the exact same problem with my Uni coursework. Go to "Save As.." and scroll down on the "file type" bit to "Word 97-2000 RTf *.doc" - that's compatible.
