I was in task manager and i closed explorer, now my start bar a taskbar is gone and i want it back, its no fun navigating between programs with 'alt' & 'tab'!

just hitting 'run' and typing 'explorer' would have done the job.
What you should've done was click on the 'File' menu in Task Manager and select 'New Task (Run)' and found 'explorer.exe' (which is usually in C:\WINDOWS) and then press 'OK'.
Reboot. Sorry!
no it didnt beecause i closed it, what i did was alternated to kazza and clicked my shared folder, that refreshed the taskbar and brought it back.
Move you mouse to the very bottom of the screen and when you see the mouse pointer (cursor) change into a little black arrow pointing upwards, hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse up.
Et voila! The taskbar should now appear.
