my telly keeps building up an ultra high pitched whine, which does my head in. I slap the side and it shuts up for a bit. for gods sake why?

You know how the tv gives off a steady tone when it's on. Just like the noise a movie projecter makes. Maybe whatever that doohickie is broke and is know imiting a louder whine.

That or the whine may just be the elves making sweet sweet love...

no a high pitched whistle like a dog whistle or something.

I've give up hitting it as I fear I may damage it eventually, and no tv make borat go crazy.

Was it a scratching noise? If you hit the TV and move the specture thing that makes images, out of place...you'll be in deep crap and have to open up your tv.

Don't worry about it there are just small elves making toys in there...

Only elves...
