I'm posting this in here because there is no-one in the PC forum and I'm impatient for an answer.

Is it on a map of europe screen which is similar to the Medieval Total War game? I mean, do you move "pieces" into countries, territories etc? Or is it set out on one huge piece of landscape like the Age of Empires games?
If you can answer then thanks.

Only criticism of single player single games is that winning can take ages, rushes do not work in this game, on the other hand it's the first RTS I've played EVER that successfully lets you combine land, air and sea forces together and use real decent strategies.

Well worth the cash.

Yes, of course they involve "maps" - there wouldn't be a game without them!

If you mean the maps used in Conquer the World, then no, they're different, since they are geared towards single player.

Think of it as a cross between Civilisation, Age Of Empires, and Empire Earth.

It's like Civilisation because you build cities and can take over them.
It's like Empire Earth bbecause you can go through loads of different ages.
And the rest is like Age Of Empires.

There's a map of the world, starting from the nation that you chose from (say Britain starts from Britain, obviously), and you move out to "expand" your territory. After you select a region to fight in, you play a short game in a set age (the game tells you) and do battle. Win the battle to expand further.

But is the screen on a map layout? On solo games, is it like AOE?
Do you recommend that I get it?
