"Is the internet going to die?"

I started asking myself this question again today after finding out about the latest trojan horse e-mail virus which sends it to everyone on your contacts list etc.

I heard a while back that the amount of spam is becoming too much for the internet to cope with. Who is actually winning?

If the internet does go down what do you think will be done about it? Will it be down for a short time or a long amount of time?

Just wondering...

Finishing the internet off would probably be a major bonus for all humanity, on par with the secret of immortality...

Sometimes I wish it would die, then I wouldn't spend half my life sitting in front of a monitor click-click-clicking. I've reached the point where fresh air has nearly become alien.

But to answer the initial question: I haven't got the foggiest.

If SPAM was made illegal everywhere then it would drop dramatically as most spam advertsies websites...

It's illegal to send it from one state in America, porn site owners say it's taking away freedom of speech!

i envisage a barren wasteland, and lone tough guys driving V8 interceptors, gunning each other down over gasoline.
