Glenn Hoddle must be gutted this morning, following last night's Republic of Ireland's friendly against the mighty Socceroo's, Robbie Keane twisted his ankle after an innocent run into the penalty area.

It seems he has sustained some ligament damage and could be out of action for up to three months.
Losing his top striker in what some would call a pointless friendly must be annoying to say the least.

Club against country is hot topic at the moment, the clubs pay the wages from week to week, but representing your nation must be a high point of most players career.

I can understand managers like David Moyes being so protective of talent like Wayne Rooney when you see the result of a freak incident in a game of little importance.

I was at the Ireland game and Robbie looked in agony when he went down. I hope its not too serious. We need him for the Russia game!

I'd say country before club every time.

A player will likely play for many clubs, but only ever in the majority of cases for one country at senior level, surely that must bring more pride.

I'd put country before club, for the obvious reason of country is bigger than club.

As good and as committed a player David Beckham was whenever he played for Man.u, he always seems to find a little something more whenever he puts on the England shirt, it's definately the pride thing.

Although the Anelka situation is funney.

Apparently he said the other week he will only consider playing for france "If he (the coach) gets down on his knees in front of me and says 'sorry,' then I'll think about it afterward,"

"I don't need the French team, what I achieve with Manchester satisfies me,"

If I had the chance to represent England at something I would jump at it: You want to represent your country because of the pride and honour that comes with it.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Very pleased
Very pleased with the help given by your staff. They explained technical details in an easy way and were patient when providing information to a non expert like me.
