The crowd go silent after an amazing series of events that have unfolded tonight. The Elimination Chamber has just been announced for the next PPV and Grandprix should be defending his recently won CAW Heavyweight Championship (unless he loses it before then). Reaver and Jetster’s recent change of heart has sent shockwaves through the arena and things have exploded in all different directions but they all have one thing in common, they all want that CAW title!
“The Chain” plays out and the crowd are going nuts! The new CAW Champion is making his first appearance on Eclipse! He’s not coming out! The crowd seem a little concerned but they erupt in an instant! He’s coming through the crowd! The crowd are lapping it up! Grandprix slaps as many fans hands as possible and then climbs into the ring. The crowd are chanting his name and he stands in the ring with a smile on his face.
Grandprix raises the title in one hand.
“THIS is what it is all about! We’ve all heard the story. Once you reach the top of the tree, you want to stay there as long as possible. I’m going to do my damndest to stay at the top!”
The crowd applaud.
”First things first, Hawk. That was one amazing match and I have respect for the length of your reign at the top but as the name of my tag team states, the system needed changing and I was going to fight for what is right and what is right is Grandprix as CAW champion!”
The crowd show respect for Hawk, although they don’t like him very much.
“I suppose I had better comment on everything that has happened tonight. Every time a new champion is crowned, the division undergoes a renaissance and everyone wants a shot at the champ. This has certainly been true. It seems as if everyone wants a shot. Reaver (cheers), Cong Man (cheers), Scotty (boos), Hawk (boos), Anarchy (boos), even though he got suspended (cheers), Stone Edge (boos), I guess even Havoc (boos) and Jetster (cheers) would want a shot as well. I’m willing to defend this title and I will not shirk the responsibility that being the champ brings upon you. You keep setting them up and I’ll keep knocking them down!”
The crowd seem impressed with everything said so far.
“Next on my list, Reaver’s performance.”
The crowd go crazy. They enjoyed that.
“Reaver, we’ve been feuding ever since that epic Hell In A Cell match at Spun Out. You should have realised from my performance in that match that you should never underestimate me and I proved that at Freefall. I will make sure that words will come back to haunt everyone that underestimates my abilities. But, credit where credit is due, you kept your word and went through with it. I must say that I haven’t laughed so much in my life but I really did enjoy it. Have you been taking lessons?”
A smile comes across Grandprix’s face as the crowd have a little chuckle.
“Let’s move onto tonight’s business. I have to say that Freefall was a high point in my career and defending the Tag titles means I have 2 titles to defend. I look forward to taking on Havoc and Hawk tonight and defending the Tag titles once again. I’m sure Reaver and Jetster will actually want a System Fighters victory because Havoc and Hawk V The Elements in a no DQ match is something I want to see!”
The crowd agree.
“Well, I guess that’s everything… except… you, the fans! Thank you for your support. We have officially entered Grandprix’s era in SRW!”
Grandprix leaves through the crowd and signs a few autographs for the fans. The crowd are going nuts once again and we’ll see Grandprix along with The Psychiatrist take on Hawk and Havoc later on tonight!
