Most people will have heard Firefly by InMe that was played on radio stations throughout the country for a fortnight then promptly forgotten. However I borrowed the album from a friend and they are extremely talented and not the one-hit-wonders that I assumed they would be.

They are a young band from Essex who are all 17 - 19 years old (about the same ages as Busted only they are actually talented and dont have dodgy eyebrows). Anyway I would recommend their album, Overgrown Eden, to anyone who likes rock and metal music.

or you could be a git and sneakily download them off KaZaA but copywriting is bad children.

Dark Mark, you don't post here much but when you do its great! Heh.

No Mystique, I meant what I said. Without copyrights we could all get free music without kazaa sending threatening letters to me. Copywritight IS bad children.

Rubbish.

Saw them Live supporting the Deftones. Deftones usually have bands whom they are friends with etc playing alongside them such as Far, Quicksand, Will Haven etc in the past. Their gig in September has The Revolution Smile supporting who are fellow Sacto CA people along with A Perfect Circle who aren't from Sacto but Maynard did give vocals on Passenger. The Brixton gig was where local bands were offered to play alongside the Deftones by sending in a tape.

I knew seeing InMe was going to be the laugh of the night and it was. The first band ThisGIRL surprised me, they were the first out. They were pretty good and very energetic, their music was fun but got tedious. InMe come out and alot of bad chants head their way. Boo's after each song bla bla bla and the funniest thing was alot of the crowd sticking their middle fingers up at the guy. Lots of throwing stuff etc too, lots of confused faces asking why they are here.

They were rubbish, very rubbish and generic but I did feel for them after a while of the abuse. It can't be good for your nerves etc going out their playing a set to boo's and things. But they done what they were there to do, thats play the music, and went. They done their job and the crwod didn't bother them, so I respect them for that.

But yeah, rubbish.

Check out The Revolution Smile who you'll be hearing of soon, they are a pretty decent band which could well make it big. Not massively big, but big. I've heard better, but for new band they aren't half bad.

I've heard plenty of InMe. I find his voice his too hoarse and the shouting is overdone. There are some very nice bits, but on the other hand the songs I've listened to are all marred by a terrible bit. In a few years I think they'll be a lot better.
