Highbury holds 38,000- which is around average for the Premiership, seeing that Old Trafford holds 68,000 and Loftus Park holds 18,000. It's enough, but the dodgy pitch is a plague.
There pitch is also (I'm pretty sure) the narrowest one in the Premiership - and I've seen this work to their advantage on many occasions in home games, forcing other sides to play narrowly - like them - with no real width or breathing space.
When they (eventually) moves grounds, they'll probably start losing more games at home! :D
And anyway, Highbury has become a real "home" to Arsénal fans over the years - just like Anfield is to the Scouse, and Old Trafford to United - and no Arsénal fan would really like to imagine their side playing elsewhere - not even at Wembley (...except in Cup-Finals).
But they DO need to sort something out quickly - before their team really begins to fall-apart and destroy their reputation.
I don't see them winning ANYTHING this season - let alone mounting a serious Title challenge! This project's just taking up too much money, and they seriously need to improve on key areas in their team.
But free transfers of second-string internationals just are not the answer.

i actually don't mind arsenal. i can just see things going very wrong....
But it would be a good ground, worthy of hosting England games.

i agree with sniper. no-one wants to hear your biased shat about your enemy.
as for the stadium matter. arsenal have been to so many cardiff games, it was a crappy, meaningless game, that no-one ever remembers, wales is a long way away just to see that (never the less it was just a little bit strange). if ashburton grove was built then important premiership games would pack out, champions league games the same. i think that arsenal have the longest or second longest list for season tickets. trust me. if it was built we would get near enough capacity everytime.
