I've been dipping in and out of this recently to see if it's worth using over XHTML. Problem is so far I've found very little to point to it being useful for actually creating a website (for example I can't find anything about Hyperlinks), rather just presenting data in a more descriptive way.
So is it worth learning over HTML/XHTML or is it more trouble than it's worth?

You cant "build" a siet using just XML. XML is purley a way of giving data contextual meaning and logical structure but using HTML style mark-up. To get this into a page you'd need either a scripting language such as PHP/ASP plus knowledge of xSLT/Soap & xSL.

Certainly go down the route of xHTML as this is now the current standard and the way forward when comined with CSS and semantic mark-up.
