Yup, I was shopping in GAME the otherday, for a new PS2 and a few games, and after that, me and my wonderful gift benefactor - my Mum - went to have some food and a drink. On my way up, I saw a Waterstones, a big one, no less, and, on a big blue poster - "2 for 3!" so, as I do, I went in. Making my way to the offer section, I saw that most books had the "2 for 3" sticker. So, of course, I had to buy some. 6, at least.

Well, anyway, I came back with - LotR* - J.R.R. Tolkien, Sabriel - Garth Nix, Noughts and Crosses - Malorie Blackman, A Series of Unfortunate Events : 8, The Horrible Hospital - Lemony Snicket, The Dark Horse - Marcus Sedgewick and Across the Nightingale Floor - Lian Hearn.

Just to say this. Across the Nightingale Floor is probably one of the best books ever, as far as I can see, second only to LotR.

Set in a fantasy world, based largely on Feudal Japan, Across the Nightingale Floor combines romance, passion, friendship, loyalty and bravery, all on an epic scale surpassing nearly all others.
