Went to see this last night, and I didn't really expect much but... it was damn good. It was a lot funnier than I thought it would be, and Johnny Depp was just fantastic as Captain Jack Sparrow.
I couldn't help but think LotR whenever I saw Orlando Bloom though, and it took me ages to realise where I'd seen the bird before (Bent it Like Beckham).
All in all it's a lighthearted, funny swash-buckling 2 hours, and well worth a watch if you don't want anything too serious. I loved it.

Mork From Ork wasn't quality in Hook. Dustin Hoffman was, as always, the Man. Peter Pan is a kid's movie, but I think they've nailed the role of Hook. Jason Isaacs is a quality villian. Bet he'll ham it up a treat.

Saw American Wedding yesterday.
It was rather 'same same'. Yet still had quality laugh out loud moments :)

Im waiting until American Wedding and Freddie Vs Jason are out at the cinema. They are at the top of my "to see" list.

Well, shiver me timbers.
It looks like an old fashioned action movie and I applaud it for that. Will probably wait till the DVD comes out though, I only have 2 free cinema tickets left, one for LOTR part 3 and the other...well, I'm waiting for something impressive to come along.
