Well I work for Eidos as Sector C Games Tester in Wimbledon.
The Gibsoft chips can be obtained but you have to be good at electronics and it destroys that DC's warrenty.

I dont have an action replay, I have two dreamcasts, the first one is my own console which is completely ridden with chips and mods , for instance it can now play any dc game from anywhere in the world, this chip is called the GIBSOFT chip. I then have another chip which allows me to play PS games on my DC, and I love it, that is why I have no PS as I play the games on the DC.
My second DC is supplyed by EIDOS and is not really mine, I have to give it back as part of an agreement. so there you have it, I import from friends and ebay and I play as much as I an and get paid.

First, SOM is the superb Secret Of Mana no the SNES.
Secondly, you'll need the Action Replay CDX disc to play imports on your UK DC.
Most retailers stock this, so it shouldn't too hard to get hold of. I would recommend it, since being able to import opens your DC catalogue to a load of other games that deserve to be translated and released over here, but won't.
For instance, Giant Gram 2000, Guilty Gear X, Fire Pro Wrestling D would *never* see the light of day here. So, the only option is to import em' and they are well worth it.

Two things, onw what is SOM and 2. You know your imports er-no do you have an english translator, or what. And what do you have to have to get the Japanese and American Games to work on the UK Dreamcast?!

Yes, still got it.
It's up on a high shelf out of reach of tiny hands.
The box is still the right shape, but on the edges its a little worn.
The plastic bit that the game sits in (rather than the usual cardboard bit) is a bit squashed, but that's hardly important!
The manual and map are in great condition though!
