I heard, over the weekend, that 20 fans watching a football match in Birmingham got struck by lightning during the game, and were then taken to hospital with severe burns, and stuff...

This doesn't have anything to do with that, does it?


...Then again, they didn't say whether it was Villa, Birmingham, West Brom or even Wolves who were playing in that game.

I reckon Villa are set for a good year with David O'Leary in-charge.

Looking at their good pre-season run, he seems to be the first Villa manager capable of actually getting record-signing Juan-Pablo Angel to SCORE-goals!

Marcus Allback's also been banging-in a few too.

And I bet his arrival at the club, along with the reputation, will help players like Lee Hendrie and Gareth Barry to remain at the club.

And, I'm sure he'll be able to bleed-through a few more Vassel's and other youngsters, like he did at Leeds.
