I can either go do it in Argentina or Ghana, both will cost nearly £2,500.
Argentina:
Speak Spanish, but the people I'd be with speak fluent English
Marginally cheaper
Crap hotel - style accomodation
Country in economic crisis
Ghana:
Official language is English, but there are local dialects too
Stay with a host family
Probably more different to England than Argentina would be
Where should I go?
I'd go there.
*Hopes River Plate(?) are in town some time too*
Canada is looking like an option now too. Might be the same problem as New Zealand though - a bit too much like home.
Not such a problem in South America or Africa, I think.
I'd definitely go. No matter what. An opportunity like that is too good to miss. Plus you might feel richer given the current state of its' economy.
Personally, I'd go for Argentina but either will be an amazing experience.
If you have to go, then go for Argentina.
I guess you know about this, but www.FCO.gov.uk (Foreign office travel advisory/info site) provides information on every country including the 2 you mention. Side by side Argentina looks the best, to me, but may be worth looking at if you haven't already.
I wouldn't go to either
