Hey, I have a MiniDisc player, a soundcard that can has a digital out (Yay :o) ) and a digital toslink thingy.

Blah blah. I hook it all up and it works. I have a little.. dunno. Sort of problems, more like little things that I’m picking at. But all the same I’m looking for some help..

If I record something using my MiniDisc’s “Low” setting it records well, but slightly quiet. If I use the “High” setting, it records at a better volume, but the quality is crap in parts. Like it cracks etc. I can also specify my own setting. This is good, but requires me to set it up for each track. And I’m not doing that.

Why can’t I record at the “High” volume recording setting? Is it because the mp3 quality is too low? Nope, it even does it when I use .wav’s. So, anybody got any general tips about this, and about digital recording from pc to md?

Thanks.

Yeah but tracks differ. Like if I have a really heavy track I would need to put it down a touch, if I have a really soft one then I have to turn it up a bit.

And thats taking the mickey.

You could record them all in one go a(make a playlist) and then put the track splits in later.

Just a suggestion...
