I've just had an unsuccessful attempt made against my computer to try and get my card number!

My firewall blocks that number from being sent without my permission and notified me of an attempt to get that number. I blocked it, took note of the IP and traced it.

Here are the results:

http://www.network-tools.com/default.asp? (space) prog=network&Netnic=whois.arin. (space) net&host=207.46.108.9

hmmm...

A lot of it isn't hacking.

For example, someone using Kazaa or some similar p2p program disconnects from the net.

Their IP is resused by someone connecting shortly after.

Lots of people decide they want files from the first user and try to download them.

It appears as a security alert on your firewall.

I know... People without firewalls should really get one because you probably get hacked everyday and you never notice. You may say "it'll never hapen to me" but it does it just happens to everyone.

What was the point in him doing that? Some people are so pathetic! I really don't understand why people even bother with the likes of viruses and hacking etc, there's just no point.

Microsoft have admitted that the hacker 'appears' to be from their servers in an email I have recieved in response to my complaint.

They also, quite comically, said: "Build Customer Trust And Value By Providing A Quality Experience The First Time, Every Time."
Delighting our customers is our top priority.

Hm, but the actual source is baym-sb9.msgr.hotmail.com , One Microsoft Way is just the owner of that IP from which the service is provided. You have MSN Messenger installed ? Depending on what sites you use it's not automatically certain you even have CC details on your PC - nearly all the sites I use have one time entry or store the detail online.

Freeola & GetDotted are rated 5 Stars

Check out some of our customer reviews below:

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Second to none...
So far the services you provide are second to none. Keep up the good work.
