* It's brilliant.
* Mostov handles the bizzare situation of two ROBOTS FROM THE FUTURE fighting very well - almost tongue-in-cheek in some circumstances, because of the bizarre nature of it all.
* Arnie is hilarious in this film. Even more hammy seeing as he now has a pig's valve, but he's really, really good unt funny, jah!
* It adds to the plot of previous films by filling you in on some key points that needed to be resolved - and telling you some of what happens in the future in anticipation of T4.
* The special effects and set-pieces are stunning. Strangely, the talking bits (don't worry, there aren't many) don't get in the way, and it's always good to hear Arnie talking anyway. It's perfectly paced. Just when you think it's gonna get boring - guns! Where'd they come from? Who cares - they're shooting each other now! 2 bloomin' robots shooting each other into oblivion!
* The T-X isn't a pointless twist on sending the Terminators robots back. In theory, the robots could send a robot back every week and it could become a sitcom, with guest appearances and everything. But the T-X IS a weapon. Cunning and deceptive (just like a real lady), using her figure and poison tongue to get what she wants and to infiltrate anywhere. It's logical for the robots to do this - they didn't explore the human emotion of desire in the second film (where the T-1000 could morph), but even Arnult has his say about that in this one.
I managed to see it twice yesterday (advance preview day) and it didn't feel like a drag the second time. In fact, I'm already waiting for the DVD to watch on my girlfriend's very impressive TV and sound set-up. It's a very, very good film - much better than the Hulk, which left me feeling cheated by the lack of action. T3 is non-stop and Mostow did an excellent job. Who wants to wait 12 years for another depressingly bad action film? This one is fun and mindful of the future. If I had opposable thumbs, they'd be up!

Good point. There is a point of Yank Pride, but it'd be a spoiler to say it.

Errr....it's not the first two films though - there's a sense of hope because of...oh wait, I opted for no spoilers. Balls. It's a popcorn film. You sit there munching your popcorn as remorselessly as the T-X kills her targets going "Oooooh" and "Aaaahhhh". Plus it's the least patriotic film I've seen of late, which must be a good thing - the Yanks are finally pulling their heads out their stars and stripes coloured assses and making proper films about death and destruction. It pulls no punches.
Don't write it off because it has a different director either. Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi weren't directed by Lucas - they were much superior to A New Hope.

*Shows Arnie*
HAHAHAHAHA
I've moved on.
