What are these DVDs like? I haven't see any of them except Star Wars II at the cinema:

Blade 2
Dark City
Phone Booth
Gangs of New York
Star Wars Episode II
Go

Phone Booth was ok. But, personally, would never watch it again. It's definately not the kind of film you can watch over and over because it would just get boring. Very predictable too.

Blade 2 is superb and probably better than the original.
I heard that GONY is tripe- about 2 hours of romantic drivel and then 1 reasonable fight scene (That's just what I've been told)
I wanna see Go, but haven't exactly got round to it yet. I know it's meant to be good, though.

As for the others, i don't know.

Go is kinda like an edgier Clerks\urban dysfunctional youth kinda film. Drugs, sex, crappy jobs in supermarkets, humour, violence etc Depends how much you're paying for it. £10 or under yes. £15 + No.

I liked it.

Watched Gangs of New York a couple of days ago, highly recommended.

It's a bit predictable in places, but Daniel Day Lewis acts the socks off everyone.

On the assumption that you are a fan of Things To Do In Denver... I would recommend Dark City and Go - both a bit different. Ep II and Blade 2 are ok, watch-once-only action films, Gangs is quite good - didn't live up to the hype but Daniel Day Lewis is extremely good - and I've not seen Phone Booth.

Blade 2 DVD is very good. Aesome DTS and Dolby Digital sound track. Flawless video transer in Anamorphic Widescreen. 2 discs packed with some decent extras. On top of the fact that its a kick ass film in the first place just makes it a must have for the £7.99 you can get it for now.

I have the Star Wars Episode 1 + 2 DVD box set and as far as DVD's go its one of the finest packages out there. 2 extra discs full of extras and some decent behind the scenes footage. Highly recommended.

I will be getting Phone Booth soon so I can not comment on the DVD for now. The Gangs of New York DVD is packed full of extras which is unusual for a Scorcesse film. If you look at Goodfellas, Mean Streets, Taxi Driver and Casino everything is kept to a bare minimum. Not too keen on the film but the DVD as a whole is worth it.
