A referee who finally used some common sense in a football match - yet the FA find it neccessary to charge him for not applying the law!

A referee who finally used some common sense in a football match - yet the FA find it neccessary to charge him for not applying the law!

I'd have never thought that our very-own Football Association could do something as stupid as this!
Punish a referee for doing a GOOD job, while also coming up with an idea that I, for one, feel could really save managers a lot of fuss and bother in the future, if more refferees started doing it...
No manager likes to see his star midfielder get red-carded for a two-footed-lunge-too-many, or a bad-tackle from behind; because they know he'll be out-of-action for at least 3 games - which could be of key importance to whether they achieve success at the end of that season.
So, whenever a player - like Roy Keane, for example - gets all agitated, red-faced and angry; looking like he's about to all hong-kong-phooey on the very-next opposing player to dirty his boots; the referee simply runs over the Alex Ferguson and ADVISES him to substitute the player, ASAP, before something happens they all later regret.
And, providing they have at least one of the three substitutions still available, this could save a lot of managers a lot of trouble, and a lot of clubs a lot of money.
Just think how different Arsénal's end-of-season could've been had Arséne Wenger been advised to take off Sol Campbell after Solskjaer went down...
