"24 - Would it make a good game?"

24 the TV series is a fantastic series. Over the recent months there have been rumours about EA getting the license to make the series into a game. Nothing has happened yet and chances are its all rubbish. But if there was a game, would it be good? Does the TV series and the whole concept of the TV series have the potential to be a good game. And if so how would it work?

They could always 'do a matrix' and base the game around the events of 24 or series 2. Just have different characters or non-lead characters.

It'd be crap. 2 options ;

1) Knick the storyline from the series - problem: wouldn't translate well to gaming scenes and would have more cut scenes than MGS2.

2) Make a new plot - short of a miracle EA would screw up, and evne then 24 is half about characters, and last time I looked no one really cares about any digital person, do they ?

I said 24 should use the SS engine.

I've often thought it'd make a good game. 24 levels, each with time-reliant objective ie. get here by this time or you fail etc.

Only thing is, it'd require the writers to write it and the actors to appear in it to get me interested. And it'd probably take almost as much effort writing a 24 hour game than it would another series.

It'd be a good idea.

I'd post more but the past 5 forums i've been on all stop me posting so im not gonna bother writing anything long to be wasted again... hmph
