How do I tell google about my headline tags on my web page?

I am wanting to mark my headlines on my web-site, I cant seem to find a way of highlighting them to make it clear to google that it is a headline.

Any ides thanks lee

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this but I'll hazard a guess and try and help you.
You heading for page content should be at the top of the page (sounds obvious but some people fail to do this). Also make sure you have Meta tags set for each page. These should be relevant to the page content. Google 'crawls' your website and reads the content pretty much like a human does. Quite often the text you see underneath Google's search result items is the text of the title tag so make sure you page titles are set to match your content.
