I saw this film on DVD last night.

Put simply, it was great.

The storyline is a massive improvement upon it's predecessor. Infact, it's a pretty damn good storyline, with some good twists shoved in. The fight scenes are stunning, with lots of slow motiony-ness.

Which basically means that the graphical effects in this film are very good indeed.
There are a couple of bits which are clearly animated, and do look a little *too* animated. Ie, extremely quick movement, and the sillhouette of Blade looks extremely thin and unlike him.

This only happens twice or so though.

Another great thing in this film is the comedy.
It's got that great sense of one-lining throughout.
Sharp and witty kind of comedy, not crap rubbish comedy like with the "Talk to der hand" line in Terminator 3.

So yes.
See this film.
Now.

Hehe, you should watch the first 3 minutes of the Way of the Gun.
I've never heard so much swearing and 'c' words in all my life.

Hmmmm, I thought Luke Goss was excellent in it. He certainly was far, far better than "normal" action stars like Segal and Ah-nuld. Quite a natural I thought. As to Snipes, after Passenger 57 he really should stick to the Blade films. He was quite good in One Night Stand however, no matter how much the film sucked.

"Can you blush?"

His character's verbal (and physical) sparring throughout the film was top notch. In fact the whole Bloodpack and Blade buddy scenario was handled well.

Yeah but the C word was used to great effect. You rarely hear that word at all in films. There is a hilarious deleted scene where Whilster talks about the relative strength of C hair using it as a metaphor for the influence women have over men. He uses the bad word many times. He is naughty.

Aye, I've always had a soft spot for quite possibly the ugliest bloke in acting. Delicatessen, City of Lost Children, Chronos as you say and hell, even Alien Ressurection gained some kudos from his presence.

I'm just waiting for Hellboy, as he is the character made flesh. Addmittedly a load of prosthetics, but his natural good looks ;) still manage to shine through

I thought The Bloodpack were superb.
Any film with Ron Perlman is going to get my vote, even Cronos was made watchable.

I went to the cinema to see this and during the fight at the end, where Nomak does the wrestling move on Blade, the audience cheered as they knew by that time exactly what the film was aiming for. Pure entertainment.

My personal favorite is the fight just after Blade gets "super charged" in the tank of blood. Its *brutal* in its sadistic violence, and goes way past the sadism set in the first one.

I never get bored of watching it, even though the plot is wafer thin.

It didn't have that many 'naughty words'. Compared to the original, I thought the language was pretty tame.

Still a damn good film.
