Well, I had this big topic all typed out, and suddenly the page refreshes and wipes it. Can't be bothered to type it again. Then again I don't think any amount of words from any westerner can explain the mess that is Liberia. Thousands dead, the civlised world playing spectator. Hurrah for us eh ?

It's a civil war... therefore I rather coldly suggest that it should be allowed to run its natural course without outside intervention.
I heard that the "rebel forces" would only back off once UN peacekeepers arrive on the scene... but what's the motivating factor to go in?
At the end of the day it's [sadly] just another squabble, albeit a bloody one, in a faraway country which has no assets or strategic worth to interest western governments.
That's all I can muster.
