This has been doing my head in for weeks now. Ok. Here it goes.

When someone posts a link to a screenshot of something that's quite large (say A huge in-game shot or something similar) it starts to load fine - then suddenly internet explorer suddently resizes the picture to a smaller size - something where its pretty much unreadable/blurry. Why is this happening and how can I make it stop?

Also - When I try and click quicktime/windows media player movies to view in an IE window it loads then this little image just appears in the top left hand corner with some cubes/spheres in. Why is this? Can I play movies in an IE window?

I'm using Windows XP and IE6.

Thanks for any help :)

Mozilla is the daddy!

You may want to try Firebird instead though.

Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> untick 'enable automatic image resizing'

Alternatively, use mozilla and dump IE ;-)

Hold your mouse over the image for a few seconds.

the save bar will come in the top left and some button in the bottom right a second or so after.

Click the bottom right.

Magic!

Don't know how to turn it off though.

I am delighted.
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
