Thome is a waste of time signing because he regularly gets injured, is inconsistent and acts like a hard man when he isn't. And Cygan is a liability because he won't get into a game easily, and then spend more time on his backside than Emile Heskey does in comparrison.
no he's apalling, i wouldn't let him play i would use players from the under 18's or sign anything that can kick a ball on a free, he is appallingly bad. Emerson Thome although pretty shyte since he left chelsea is on a free and is twice the player cygan is but still isn't really worth signing.

Personally, I wouldn't like to see Wiltord or Kanu go.
I think Wiltord's great on the wing, and he has scored some very important goals for us.
Kanu I feel sorry for. Has scored some absolutely astounding goals (remember the third of his hat-trick against Chelsea from out near the corner flag?), and has the potential to be a real Highbury Hero.
He was in brilliant form, but had a lot of personal problems with members of his family and went off the boil. I partly blame Wenger for his continuing poor form, because he has hardly been in the team for the last season-and-a-half; I believe he would get back to his best if he had a regular run in the first team.
In fact, the ONLY player I would like to see Arsenal get rid of is Igors Stepanovs - why we kept him over Luhzny I'll never know!

I'm saying he has been ok for us as he has scored some important goals.
He can score against the mighty Man United. So what? He's a liability.
The season after last he scored some crucial goals, like the one at Old Trafford that won us the title when we beat you 1 nil.

I remember when he first-arrived, for around £13m, I believe...
Arsénal fans were all going on about how he was gonna score goal-after-goal, go on to win the Golden Boot award, and single-handedly carry Arsénal through to honours in Europe and the Premiership - they wouldn't shut-up about their NEW Frenchman!
And then look at what happened - he went game-after-game WITHOUT scoring, and I was loving it! :D
And still, even today - after he's had plenty of time to "settle-in" - he's still nothing like the "goal-machine" every Arsénal was expecting. :)

Wellturd is worth 4-6 mill, he is ridiculously over rated, But he does have a bit co-ordination. Lets face it he was signed for his passport, "oh he's french and has scored a goal!!!" lets sign him. If arsenal can get silly money for him then fairplay to them. I'd sell him and try everything in my power to get rid of kanu. Then play next season with Bergkamp and Henry as first choice give the young prospect Aliadere a try and intergrate Jeffers a bit more.
Anymoney raised from the sale of Wiltord i'd use to fund a bid for Mexes and use the minimal transfer budget on buying paul robinson as little over 3 mill will do the trick.
Willtord is by no means essential, and if he left and they got mexes in they would be so much stronger at the back. It seams painfully obvious to me that paul pobinson is perfect for arsenal, he's young, likely to be the next england keeper and very talented but they won't bid this just seems immensly stupid to me. He'd sought them out for a keeper for the next 12 years. Mexes like wise he's cheap and has 13-14 years in him and arsenal have one world class centre back then nothinng else.
