I am looking into upgrading the 3D graphics chip, found the Radeon 9000 series to get good reviews, but cannot find anywhere that sells them, tried ebuyer, dabs, watford, any other major players I don't know about.

Any other laptop/gaming wisdom you can pass on will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

just sometimes ?, I see that ones with the Radeon 9000 chip in are at least £200 more expensive, bit too much for me, this still runs much fater than my last AMD 500/GE Force 2MX set up !

Colin, I can't upgrade the graphics card, but will be investigating shared memory, will probably call upon your expertise at the weekend.
Posted some Q3 benchmarks, take a look at the topic (if your interested)

Only a small amount of notebook allow you to upgrade the video card, newer Dell notebooks allow it, But only a small percentage of notebooks are able to do it, You may be able to make your gaming more smoother by changing the shared memory.

I belive so, certain ones are obviously easier to upgrade than others, mine has a free slot or two so shouldn't be a problem
