I believe a "blogger" is someone who keeps a weblog (whatever that actually is). But they sling the word around as though it were a profession. Which.... surely it isn't.

It comes from "weblog", doesn't it?

I still don't truly understand how someone can be termed a "blogger".

I swear I've only ever seen that expression on BBC news. If I called my dad a blogger, I'd likely get a clip round the ear.
