I've read about the recent lawsuit against Lik-Sang, which Nintendo won.

The flash cards they were selling, that could save ROMS which in turn can be played on the GBA, was illegal... but am Iright in saying that any program executable compiled in GBA format (whatever that is) could be run on it?

For example, say I coded a hello world program, all I have to do is find a compiler and linker for the GBA and it would work on the GBA? If so, where can I find these?

It's already finished, I have a batch of C++ progs that I've done, but I giess I need to recompile them once I get the GBA compiler.

be sure to post a link to your creation once it's finished so we can all enjoy it (via emulator or whatever)

It's a bit like those 64 in 1 carts you see on ebay/boot fairs etc, all highly illegal, but highly enjoyable :) especially when played on a GB Player on a nice 32" screen

Yep, you can use a flash advance card for any homebrew programs you write or download. The best compiler is DevKit Advance: http://devkitadv.sourceforge.net/ which is pretty easy to use. There are some helpful tutorials and forums at www.gbadev.org, and this site also has a load of programs and source files that you can take inspiration from or rip off wholesale.

You could also use an emulator to test your programs before deciding whether to buy an actual flash card.
