I've been tempted to get one for a long time now by the possibility of watching films whilst sitting on the toilet or some other equally funny place, and now Special Reserve have tempted me once again by selling one.
They're not cheap, so much research and price hunting must be done to get the best for the budget you have, but so far the Special Reserve one (the Panasonic DVDLV50EBS) looks a good option, but there are others with much bigger screens for about £150 more. Is it worth paying the extra cash to get a bigger screen?
The idea of sitting in the garden in the summer sunshine, drinking a nice cold drink and watching my favourite dvds is a cool dream, but are these players worth the cash?
Although laptops have bigger screens, it means the actual unit is much bigger, portable dvd players are blimin' tiny (usually the size of a dvd case I think).
In the end though, it comes down to the price. A laptop would be a good option, it can do a heck of a lot more than just play dvds, but I'd imagine you'd have to fork out a whole heap of cash for a decent one.
