Hoorah! It may well be Valentines day, and I may well not have received anything to do with the 'traditional' valentines idea, but hey!

I got DC-UK in the post and I found my Quake 3 Arena opinion in it so I win a game! Isn't that great?

It had to be shortened so it isn't as informative as the one here :)

I am pleased because I also hold the record for 2nd place in Crazy Flag in Crazy Taxi - but now they don't run that competition...

Anyway...who's gonna win gameaday?

It's to do with shelf life. If you put Feb 2001 on the cover, the shops will only keep it out on the shelf until the end of the month at the latest, so the next magazine would have to come out at or before the beginning of the month. Publishers want to have as much shelflife as possible for their magazines.

March 2001. Reader's Review pages.

Hmm, why do magazines do this? What is the point in releasing th next month's edition the month before? Yet another oddness in the world of computer magazines.

***NEWSFLASH***

Makers of DC-UK magazine were unavailable for comment today, as the magazine has been found bankrupt.

Rumours suggest this is because of the heafty amount of pages in the recent magazine, to cope with a review sent in by a reader, known only as Dan2K1.

The magazine, which had to be sent on it's own in a single delivery lorry because of its size, not only caused the press to run out of paper and ink while printing the 100,000 odd page magazine, but it also caused three industrial size printers to cease working, and three men were killed trying to type up the letter to put in the magazine. One jumped through the window after looking at the length of the window, one went insane and started attacking fellow workers with hardware until he tripped over a mouse cord and broke his neck, and the third man was found dead a week after he took up the challenge, just slumped in his chair.

The magazine writers are thought to have left the country this evening, after ecowarrior brigades started smashing the walls down, demanding an explanation for the huge paper amount.
