Hmm, I'm in a literary phase at the moment, I'm well stuck into Bret Easton Ellis' Glamorama and am thoroughly enjoying it, but all the reviews I've read of it compare Ellis to some guy called Don DeLillo, whom I've never heard of. A quick glance at some of his books on Amazon leads me to believe he might be quite good, at least going by the gushing customer reviews.

Anyone read any of his books? I believe one called 'Underworld' is one of his most famous. I think I actually prefer reading now to playing videogames - how crazy is that? Once I've finished Glamorama, I've still got The Informers to read, plus Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palookaville and his new one in the post.

Spare me.

Don DeLillo isn't much like Bret Easton Ellis at all: fewer drugs, prostitutes and mass-murderers. I've read one and a half of his books, the half being 'Underworld'. It's 800 pages plus, and I gave up after 400. Some of the writing is fantastic but it's also a bit too clever and soulless for my liking, as if he went on one too many creative writing courses and got addicted to literary willy-waving; and after a while I just thought 'I can't be bothered reading this anymore' and gave up.

But everyone else seems to think he's some sort of genius.

In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
I am delighted.
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
