Heh, a bit over-exagerative...is that a word...but still, they are certainly darker then before. After hearing their new single Stockholm Syndrome, from their new album Fat as F**k, on Zane Lowe's Radio One show, and after hearing about them and their new tour dates, I simply had to buy some tickets.
It'll be the second time I've seen Muse, last time was in Portsmouth and I actually MET them at the after show party. I'm lucky, y'see, as my mum works with the tour managers mum. Or something.
We couldn't get free tickets (and free shirts, free backstage passes, chance to meet the band, autographs etc :cD) this time, but still, I'll get to see them again. I'm happy, as you probably would.
I'm seeing them on 5th December in Bournmouth. The days are ticking away fast, and before long, I'll be there watching them perform their new stuff. And hopefully their old stuff.
Is anyone going to see Muse (tickets on sale now. London costs £18 and the rest cost £15)? It's gunna cost me £55 though, for three tickets, as you have an extra fee or something. :cS. New single will be available to download for a quid (£1.50 for CD burn) on Friday from the official Muse site. No doubt it'll be on KaZaA before Friday. I've already got it from KaZaA, although it has Zane Lowe talking at the beginning of it. Am I allowed to say I downloaded it? Ah well, heh.
Stockholm Syndrome is up there with your Dead Star's and your Muscle Museum's. Not as good as Plug in Baby, New Born or In Your World. Still good though. I'm here if anyone wants it; of course, I'll only send it to 512k or higher.
Moral of post. I'm going to see Muse, new single is out, Muse are back and you're all jealous. True story.
Enjoy the new Muse. :c)
> Does it go:
>
> Piano intro (preferably Belliose riff)
No.
> Guitar repeating classical riff
Original.
> Bass & drums for verse
Lead guitar plays throughout.
> Bellamy singing into fuzz-mic
Nope.
> Big guitar chorus
Not really.
> Bellamy "aaaAAAOOOWWWWAAARRRRRGGGGHHHeeeee"
Not once.
> Bass & drums 2nd chorus
> Back to fuzz-mic
As above.
> Fast-tempo middle eight
Not that I'm aware of.
> Repeat chorus and have Bellamy shrieking with fuzz-mic
No fuzz mic.
> Judder to a halt
It plays out. No juddering.
At least not every song on Showbiz had a classical riff stuck in somewhere. It's not big and it's certainly not clever.
