Need a bit of help - we got these PCs and we don't have the passwords to get past the 'MS Netmeeting' rubbish, and we don't have the BIOS passwords either.

Been around the net and got the default bios passwords, but it hasnt done it. Considering taking out the CMOS battery, but only as a last resort as we'll lose all the bios settings completely.

Any other ideas?

(this is an entirely legitimate question, with a solid, legal reason for doing this. and i am not a hacker.)

Meh, hardly hacking...

taking out your cmos battery wont wipe your bios settings it'll just set them to default and youd have to leave the battery out for quite a while too. once your bios settings are back to default just moddify them your self but this wont affect any security you have on your hard drive, to get past that you could either reinstall windows or find someone who knows how to hack properly

Should be a bios reset jumper on your motherboard somewhere. Dig it out and you're sorted.

Yeah I don't think those BIOS passwords would really help at all.

Have you tried locating the offending registry entry and nuking it?
