Now that some Russian-bloke has come-along and taken control of Chelsea with his rediculous amount of millions, the club are being linked with just about EVER big-name European player from across the globe, now that no price-tag is too-high for big-spending Chelsea.

Arsénal's Cofederations Cup-winner Thierry Henry is the latest name to be linked with the Premiership no-hopers, and even Chelsea "Legend" Gianfranco Zola has urged them on to sign the Frenchman.

And, this is one-deal I believe COULD actually happen...!

Henry can't be happy after another season at Highbury of winning nothing-more-than the FA Cup. He wants ambition. He wants to win things for a team other than France. But, so far in the transfer-market, Arséne Wenger does not appear to be showing much of this in the ways of his Summer-spending - or lack of it, rather. And with a lack of "real" funds coming down from the board, Henry surely cannot be too impressed.

But, look at Chelsea - a club now with a seemingly-endless wad of cash o spend on getting the club up to the level and standards of Manchester United - a place were Arsénal once WERE.
If they can even make one other big-name signing, it could show Henry that the are going on the same train he is looking to meet on-time, meaning he COULD, actually, leave Highbury.

And, ontop of the fact that "the next David Beckham" has recently announced he is unhappy to see Patrick Vieira on a higher-wage than him - again, bringing Arsénal's financial situation into play - Henry may feel like he is not the one-man who does it all for Le Gunners, anymore - like what Zola was to Chelsea.

Do you see it now?

Anyway, there's got to be more truth to this than those rumours of Kewell WANTING to sign for Liverpool, anyway! ...Or at least Wayne Rooney and a £30m move to Stamford Bridge!!

I don't think theres much chance Henry will go to Chelsea. If you forget that Chelsea are rich, then the idea just seems stupid.

Seems very-unlikely that this will happen, now...

David Dein has said he would not be prepared to let Thierry Henry go for "any price" - no matter they were offering £50m or even £70m!

But, what if this Ashburton Grove product starts to drain the club of even more money than they were expecting, and debts of a Leeds United or pre-Russian-blokey-Chelsea scale begin to arise??

But, if Henry was to go, with Bergkamp looking set to retire; you'd be left with Wiltord, Jeffers and Kanu - with very little money to spend on other players! :D

Henry said he wants to end his career at ARSEnal. And I think it would take £m in wages to attract him in the first place.

Personally, I don't see it happening - why sell your best asset to your biggest local rivals? In short, Arsenal won't want to do it, and it's unlikely Henry would want to.

United could afford to lose Beckham, in my opinion. Arsenal can't afford to lose Henry.

But hey, this is football, and anything could happen.

Either that or sell a load of not so talented players, which could turn out worse.

Well if that new stadium of yours keeps gobbling up your millions you may have no choice but to sell him.

Anything is possible with the right amount of money.

And Arsenal just aint gonna have that money until they start filling up a 60,000+ staduim every week. Its gonna be a tough few years for Arsenal, especially if Vieira signs a 70K a week contract. Could be the time to cash in on Vieira @ the age of 27. Just look @ what they offered Bergkamp....
