Whilst braving the crap British weather and the never ending sea of people who enjoy blocking your way or walking into you, I managed to buy some stuff.

From HMV -

Krull - £7.99 I think
Princess Bride - £9.99

From Virgin -

Once Upon A Time In America - £15.99 (I could get it much cheaper online, but I can't be bothered waiting)

I've lost count of how many DVDs I've bought in the last month, nevermind all of them together. Still haven't watched a load of them... I'll get around to it.

Oh, and a bottle of Bud from Wetherspoons - £1.80

Jesus, so THAT'S what that film was called. Where the alien's dad tracks them down? That's all I can remember of it. Probably be crap if I watched it now, but it brings back memories thinking about it.

Anyone remember the film The Explorers? About a three kids who make their own spaceship and go into outer space? It was around the time of Flight of the Navigator.

Well, I got that on e-bay the other day. A great nostalgic trip!

I don't know seeing as I didn't make that association. Anyway I was bidding last week for an old video on ebay and was going up to £20 but forgot about it and lost it Sunday night.

Infact thanks for reminding me I need to go bid on another copy of it.

Why do people associate old with bad? Old films are usually better than the stuff they churn out now.

My mate was amazed that the Godfather trilogy on DVD cost £34.99 "because they're old"

£10 sounds like a lot for such an old film but probably worth every penny. I just bought Cocoon for £5 and am impatiently awaiting the arrival of a new DVD player.

Princess Bride brought back wave after wave of memories. The sword fight on the cliff top, hanging on Andre The Giant's back, the game with the poison, Billy Crystal as the miracle man. It was one big nostolgia trip, hadn't seen it since I was a kid.

The Princess Bride rules, though I wish the little guy was in it more.

heh, the bit with the cyclops and that blind guy in the swamp was top notch.
