Oh I dunno - we've had Windows explode in work on several occasions, taking out several of the surrounding programs... ;-)
I highly recommend it, even though it was made by Microsoft, who are not really renowned for their firearms.
If possible, I configure the right button to run and the mouse wheel for prev/next weapon; then it's the left and right arrows to strafe, Ctrl to jump and the right-hand Shift key to duck/crouch.
Other controls obviously depend on the game!
