Also is Half-Life still playable in 2001?

Both have similar controls, ie. mouse looks and moves, and fires, and all are mainly keyboard-mouse orientated.
The graphics are both very good, yet again, i think UT has the edge as it seems to have better anti-aliasing.
Sound. I think I have to prefer the sounds in UT, more realistics, yet Q3 is also good, because a lot of the guns are more realistic
Weapons. My favourite part. Both games have a wide selection of guns, yet Q3's are more realistic. Normaly this would be good, but because of it's nature the fun, futuristic and sometimes sadistic weapons of UT have to come out on top.
i have to add that the captions on UT are wicked ie. 'go to hell', or <..... was ripped to shreds by darknesses flak> etc.
So i have to say UT is better
