Had a similar problem: kept crashing on signing. think these are the 98 and ME instructions. Try them if you want but your probably better of just emailing msn themselves using the help sheet and they got back to me in 30 mins on a sunday! they are pretty helpful so its probably worth doing. Msn 6 is actually the first MSN in a fair while which actually shows large scale improvements.

Thank you for writing to MSN Messenger!

I understand that you're messenger freezes during sign in.

With regards to your issue, here is my suggestion:

Can you try removing the following key from their RegKey by following these
steps:

Log out and then Exit out of MSN Messenger:

1) Go to “Start”
2) Choose “Run”
3) Type in “RegEdit”, then hit “OK”
4) Choose “HKEY_CURRENT_USER”
5) Choose “Software”
6) Choose “Microsoft”
7) Choose “MSNMessenger” folder.
8) Select “ListCache” folder,
9) Then right click on “ListCache” folder, then choose “Delete” option
10) Then close the Registry Editor window

Above steps should look like this:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Microsoft\MSNMessenger\ListCache

This should delete your MSN Messenger folder. Reinstall the software from either
http://messenger.msn.com or http://www.msnmessenger-download.com/preview site.

If the problem persist, please reply to this mail with the steps you've made.

I got the same problem. Couldn't be bothered waiting to fix it or what have you, so I decided to go back to MSN 5. Simple.

MAYBE she could consider using software that has been released for public use, instead of some MS "public preview" crap which basically means beta - and not just normal beta, but MS beta. Think about it, MS software is rarely stable when it's been released, what do you think beta's going to be like?!

Freeola has to be one of, if not the best, ISP around as the services they offer seem unrivalled.
The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
