Kids tv today sucks, plain and simple. Take a look at the DVD shelves of "cult tv", it's rammed with Rhubarb & Custard, Battle of The Planets, Ludwig, The Goodies, Jamie & The Magic Torch, Bod, Mr Ben, The Magic Roundbout etc etc.
All quality programmes from the 1970's and early eighties that my generation was weaned on.
And yes, looking back, they were fuelled by psychodelic drug-raddled creatives that grew up in the 1960s, passing on their headtrip visions to the kids of the 1970s.
It even permeated Sesame Street.
The "1,2,3,4,5" song, complete with hardcore acid-type imagery that we lapped up like lapdog Leary's.
And here's a (remixed audio) version of that song. And anyone over 25 *still* counts to 12 in their head, same way as you go "a b c d e f geeee".
Watch, enjoy and realise why I'm the way I am and so many over 25's yearn for the days of insane, drug-fuelled programmes instead of crap like Big Brother:

No - I was correcting my typing mistake ... been awake for a few hours too many (see thread entitled "I've been awake for 35 hours")
> Er ... 'your' and not 'you'.
Me?

Assuming you are talking about the guy in the top hat that goes to the magic costume shop.
What about count, who used to go
1 - ah ah ah
2 - ah ah ah
3 - ah ah ah
etc
That music, I figure, was dance at its best.
Made me feel old.
I think I'll always remember the pinball song :^)
