Any help most appreciated as always! Thank you.
'target' is how that link opens ie 'blank' is a new window or 'self' replace your web page with the new one
it should bring all attached pictures etc in to your webspace if you upload through the software
if you search in google there are free button makers where you can then download you creation and put in your webpage
Your hosting is just some space on a web server, but any images you want to display on your site need to be uploaded to your server.
(actually, you can reference images on someone else's site, but this is frowned upon and you can't be sure they won't remove the image later or change the image the URL you're using points to...)
If you are using Instant site and Freeola, then you should already have an allocated web space containing folders for your newly created site:-)
Sorry to sound divvy but am I right in saying that any image you want to use on a website for whatever reason, has to be on a server / webspace before it can be uploaded to the site?

Or...you could use:
This is a static image, no link:
<img src="image folder/logo.gif" width="75" height="25" border="0" alt="describe the image here">
This is a 'link' image, a link 'button':
<a href="http://www.yoursite.com" target="new"><img src="image folder/whatever.gif" height="25" width="75" border="0" alt=" whatever in here">
NB: If you have stored your images in a folder, then the img src tag has to point to the containing folder ie 'image folder/whatever.gif' where image folder refers to your folder and the remainder is the file itself. The 'height and width' references are optional, but advised as they will set the image within the 'table' if you are using one, setting 'border' to '0' will help, no border will be displayed when the link is 'clicked'. It will be by default without this setting. The 'alt' gives a 'flyout' description when the mouse cursor moves over the link - it just reinforces the link as per www3:-)
Hope this helps :-)
<a href="mylink.html"><img src="mybutton.jpg" /></a>
If you want a 'proper' HTML button (or you want the text on the button to change dynamically) you should use an HTML button.
See W3Schools for more info about HTML buttons.
