I think I remember having this problem before, but it went away, somehow.

Anyway, whenever I move my mouse there is a crackling noise, whenever I maximise something there is this high pitched squeeky noise...

I can't work out what the problem is. It's probably really really simple.

Nothing has moved because all I did was to format my PC, so something needs to be changed. I just don't know what.

It may be something with the sound card, but I haven't got a clue!

Oh and how do I get rid of that log onto windows thing when I start up?

I can't remember...

Thanks

Oh and the crackling also goes on when the PC is loading something.

I checked the volume controls and the clicking was showing up as coming through the PC so it wasn't a dodgy connection...

I installed my webcam and now it's gone. I think it was probably something to do with the sund input not being properly configured or something. Whatever it was, it's not happening anymore!

Oh, and does anybody know how to get rid of that 'Log onto Windows' thingy?

Yeah, could be the line in or mic input is being played through your speakers... try muting both the line in and the mic in your volume control thingy.

My monitor used to make horrible noises like that, when there was big areas of white etc - it's why I changed to TFT. Sure it's your speakers?

If not, try things like muting the line in. I get a nice constant buzzing sound if the line in isn't muted.

Other than those ideas, I'm not sure.
