Does anyone know anything about meta tags on zen cart? Or meta tags in general?
On my products on zen cart there is an option called meta tags which you click on and it brings up 3 options - meta tag title, meta tag description and met tag keywords. These are all blank at the moment.
If these fields were filled in does that help to bring you up higher and more often in the search engines, and could the fact that the fieldsthat have not been filled in be the reason for not generating enough traffic to my site?

This guide should be able to help you for the most part, but try searching for 'SEO' on Google and read up on Search Engine Optimisation on wikipedia, too.
I think the main thing to be aware of is that the big engines tend to ignore meta tags these days.
I didn't realise this myself until I researched it (my topic on getting better hit rates is just a bit further down the page)
